About Tom
Tom Pond was an industrial chemist by profession. He lived through some of the more extra ordinary parts of 20th century history.
His adventures include:
- beheading swans,
- living in Wiemar Germany, and
- playing cards with Herman Goering
I remember him as a kind and humourous man. I was also dead scared of his dog, which was a minature Doberman with no redeeming qualities.
