Ingredients

400ml tin condensed milk

225g syrup

125g butter

175g white sugar

Method

  1. In a large saucepan heat butter, syrup and sugar over a low heat, stirring continuously, to prevent mixture sticking.
  2. Add condensed milk and continue stirring, letting mixture boil for approximately 20 minutes. (Test by placing a teaspoon of mixture in a cup of water. If it forms a ball, it is ready).
  3. When ready, pour into a greased tin and leave to set.
  4. Break into bite size pieces.
